National Sports Day MultiSport-style

On 15 September, during the National Sports Day Picnic held on the grounds of the PGE National Stadium, MultiSport invites entire families to participate in joint physical activities. Special zones will be set up offering sporting activities to the rhythms of DJ Wiki hits, as well as consultations with experts. Children will be able to take part in a Star Wars-esque multimedia sporting game. The festivities will begin at 12.00. Entry is free.

Despite the trend for physical activity spreading throughout Poland, still nearly one in three Poles does not take any exercise.

- According to the MultiSport Index 2018 report, the most physically active are young residents of large cities aged 15 to 24. Children and seniors are least active. According to research, exercise habits and the approval of those closest to us, our families and acquaintances, have a big impact on physical activity. The Sports Family Picnic during National Sports Day can turn occasional physical activity into a positive daily habit that will not only improve health, but also provide a dose of endorphins. The active MultiSport zones will show that physical activity is healthy and fun for the entire family, says Adam Radzki, Board Member at Benefit Systems S.A.

MultiSport Active Schools
For the first time in the capital, the MultiSport Active Schools project will be showcased in the children’s zone. It will include 8 sports stations that combine multimedia technology and physical activities in the form of a Star Wars-esque game. Under the supervision of qualified animators, children will be able to battle plush monsters from the Motionless Galaxy. They will be able to overcome them by performing age-appropriate physical activities - for example, a shuttle run, a hand grip test or arm hang. More information about the MultiSport Active Schools project can be found on the website: www.aktywneszkoly.pl. Children will also be able to try their hand at the climbing wall, while the youngest participants will be able to play in the colourful baby and toddler zone.

MultiSport Zone for Adults

During the Picnic, there will be plenty of attractions for parents and grandparents in the MultiSport zone, including consultations with dieticians, physiotherapists, massages and body composition measurements. You will be able to quench your thirst with healthy shakes made with the help of bicycle blenders powered by muscles. Sporting activities will be accompanied by music spun by the oldest DJ in Poland, DJ Wika. At 3:00pm, on the main stage, DJ Wika will provide music for the a great intergenerational Zorba dance. Because exercise is for everyone, regardless of age!

The National Sports Day Picnic is organised by the Zwalcz Nudę (English: Fight Boredom) Foundation, which will help 39 cities across Poland try to motivate children, their parents and grandparents to get up and move.
