MultiSport socially engages its Users

The first edition of the Dobry MultiUczynek (English: Good MultiDeed) volunteer/philanthropic programme has been launched. MultiSport card users who have an idea for a social campaign supporting or promoting physical activity, may submit their initiative to the programme and receive funds for its implementation. Submissions will be accepted through 07 October 2018.

Despite the trend for physical activity spreading throughout Poland, still nearly one in three Poles does not take any exercise. (Data: MultiSport Index 2018).
- In terms of supporting physical activity in Poland there is still much to do, especially when it comes to children and seniors, who are least likely to take part in sporting activities. Physical activity not only improves our health and well-being, but it can also bring families, and even entire communities, together. MultiSport card users, and there are nearly a million of them, are well aware of this. Their experiences make them ideal ambassadors for physical activity and authors of interesting ideas for getting Poles involved in sports. That's why we decided to address the Good MultiDeed programme to them, says Rafał Mikołajczyk, Deputy Director of Communications and CSR at Benefit Systems S.A.

How does it work?
Both material (e.g. renovating a children’s playground) and non-material (e.g. organising a sports picnic) projects may be submitted to the Good MultiDeed programme. Each initiative should support the physical activity of a chosen community and include an idea for a volunteering project, which will be implemented by the project initiator and at least three assistants selected by him/her. Ideas may be submitted by users of MultiSport Plus, MultiSport Classic and MultiActive (Employee) cards via a form on the website www.kartamultisport.pl/dobry-multiuczynek/ through October 07, 2018. The Programme Committee will then select 10 projects. From among them, Internet users will vote to select 5 initiatives and each project will receive a financial grant of PLN 30,000. The initiators and their teams will have until the end of June 2019 to implement their projects.

70 good MultiDeeds

The Good MultiDeed programme began in 2015, when its originator, Benefit Systems, invited its employees to submit ideas for charitable initiatives. To date, over 70 projects have been implemented, involving over 200 people.

- Seeing how much Benefit Systems employees have enjoyed taking part in the CSR campaign over the last three years, and how many interesting ideas we managed to execute, we decided to expand the campaign. I believe that we will meet fantastic people with great ideas, which we will happily help them implement, jointly contributing to increasing the physical activity of Poles, adds Rafał Mikołajczyk.

The founder and originator of the Good MultiDeed programme is Benefit Systems, the creator of the MultiSport program, and the organisational partner of the Volunteer Centre Association. For more information on the Good MultiDeed programme go to www.kartamultisport.pl/dobry-multiuczynek/
